DYNATUNE-XL is the registered name of a suite of core skill MS EXCEL ® based engineering and simulation tools.
The DYNATUNE-XL suite aims to provide professional engineering tools that achieve a maximum of results with a minimum of data, allowing the user to quickly investigate setup modifications or perform parameter studies. Being a fully MS EXCEL ® based tool, for many engineers and technicians the familiar environment reduces greatly the learning time to drive the tool and maximizes quality time for learning the science of vehicle dynamics and understand interactions with important vehicle systems profoundly.

The RIDE & HANDLING TOOL (see R&H section) has been specifically developed & validated over the last 20 years around the equations of a Bicycle Model and a 7-DOF Vehicle Model and is entirely focused on providing an efficient tool for optimizing the basic RIDE & HANDLING behavior of a vehicle. A range of several levels of complexity allow clients to select the best suited variant for their specific needs and knowledge status. Various features - among them for instance the all important influence of Suspension Compliance - can only be found in hugely complex expensive vehicle dynamics simulation tools, which does underline the inherent potential of this tool. It has been used at the "cradle" of many important & iconic cars.
The SUSPENSION DESIGN MODULE (see SDM section) provides with it's unique vector algebraic approach the possibility to model and analyze the geometry and (steering) kinematics of any kind of Independent Front & Rear Suspension Type, including even the most complex Multi - Link Suspension architectures. SDM provides in Pro & Expert Version also - quite uniquely and not offered by any of it's peer tools - the ability to analyze elementary compliant suspension behavior, either by providing a reference metrics table or by displaying the results of (combined) contact patch force induced suspension link loads & deflections. SDM is considered by many customers in the professional automotive world to be in a class of its own for performance to price ratio.
Those, who want to dive deeper into the many vibration & ride aspects of suspension tuning, can learn all about how to setup the spring and damper characteristics in our brand new SUSPENSION TUNING MODULE (see STM section). A powerful standalone tool, that enables you to get the best out of your ride setup by providing advanced 4 Poster Ride Setup procedures in your Excel Workbook. And it comes with a neat recipe tuning guide to get you started quickly and allow you to optimize your spring & damper settings in a novel way. If you are a club racer or you build your own car, the following two tools can be of great value to you. Our BRAKE SYSTEM DESIGN MODULE (see BDM section) does allow to design a brake hydraulic system with all parameters needed to optimize braking performance and define piston & disc diameters of the braking system resulting in the best possible braking balance.
The DRIVE LINE DESIGN MODULE (see DDM section) does permit to optimize gearbox and differential ratios and match the power train perfectly to the engine characteristics. A must have tool for any racer with a custom gearbox.
DYNATUNE SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS & LICENSE MANAGING
Program requirements are full versions (incl. latest updates) of MS EXCEL ® 2007 & 2010 with a MS Windows ® XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 or Windows 8 Operating System. DYNATUNE-XL tools have been specifically developed for MS EXCEL ® 2007 & 2010 and deliver best performance in those versions. All DYNATUNE-XL tools have been beta-tested on MS EXCEL 2013 / Office 365 but due to the known VBA performance issues of MS EXCEL 2013/365, DYNATUNE-XL does NOT offer the R&H and the SDM tool for the use in combination with MS EXCEL 2013/365.
All versions of DYNATUNE come standard as MS EXCEL® Macro Enabled Workbooks with a source code and copyright protection software allowing the use of the workbooks (and ALL user-saved variants) on 1 computer only. The protection software offers to the customer next to the security of a Pass Phrase Protection also by means of a unique License Key Verification Procedure a state of the art data protection. Technical support is available for the latest version releases only and there is no annual maintenance fee. Existing clients with older product releases can acquire "upgrading" licenses to the latest release or step up to the next higher version at special client rates.
